My story and mission

A few words about me

I've lived in the Netherlands since the end of 2016. Over those years, I've grown and evolved a lot.
When I experienced a burnout a few years ago, I decided I needed to change something in my life. That's how the idea to become a nutritional advisor came to be.

I completed the Voedingsleer course at Civas and the Gewichtsconsulent course with the specialization Sport&Voeding at NHA. In June 2024 I passed my vocational examination

and became a certified gewichtsconsulent. This allows me to provide nutritional counseling covered by insurance.

Why gewichtsconsulent? It's a profession that links two of my great interests: psychology and nutrition. As a gewichtsconsulent, I am also a coach. This is a profession that requires a very holistic approach - you don't just focus on nutrition and eating habits, but also take other aspects of one's life into consideration.  

My mission

My mission is to help others become healthier, improve their relationships with food and their bodies, support in changing their habits, fix their negative perception of dieting, and prove that there is incredible value in healthy eating.

I believe that we don't need to change ourselves to fit the frames of a specific diet, but that the diet should be personalised for us. I want to teach people how to achieve their goals and keep their desired effects over time - and all this without feeling hungry, restricting ourselves, and of course eating delicious food!
A well-planned diet and training regime are not enough to achieve your goals (I'm sure many of you know this already). That's because healthy eating habits start in our heads. I want to offer support in changing unhealthy habits by equipping my clients with the right tools, allowing them to find their own strength and improve the quality of their lives.
